The D’Entrecasteaux estate is located on the edge of the Huon Valley tourist route and is close to many major attractions of South Eastern Tasmania. Local markets, vineyards, rain forests, coastal adventure tours, caves and historic settlements are all within a days drive.

The D'Entrecasteaux Channel is one of the world's most extensive, protected and beautiful waterways in the world. It's a large sheltered waterway that is the perfect place for canoeing, fishing, swimming and sailing.

Tasmania's wilderness and world heritage area is close by and is where you can enjoy short or extended walks or scenic flights.

The city of Hobart, with Mt Wellington as its backdrop is only 15 minutes away by car, and provides many scenic and cultural attractions. Salamanca Place houses many excellent art galleries, craft shops, restaurants and pubs in its old stone warehouses on what used to be Hobart's waterfront. It's a popular location for locals and tourists alike to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy everything Hobart has to offer. The lively market, held on Saturdays, is renowned world-wide. The waterfront docks are very close by with even more restaurants, bars and tourist attractions and is the finishing point of the famous Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.

The island's convict history is revealed at Port Arthur and is easily reached on a day trip in your car.
